Foreword by Sam Sneed:-
“Throughout my years of tournament golf the one question most repeatedly asked of me, and of my fellow players, has been “What club did you use?” When the spectators see the ball shoot up out of any kind of a lie, good, fair or terrible, they always want to know what club did the job.
Well, that’s what this little book is for. I have told, in the following pages, when and how I use each club. I haven’t said a great deal about form-that’s pretty well covered in my book How to Play Golf-because correct form is something it generally takes a little time to master. But by using the right club for each shot, under all the varying conditions found on any golf course, you at least give yourself a good chance to get the ball up in the air, on its way to the hole.
Almost from the moment that Mr. L. B. Icely gave me my start in competitive golf, I realized that every round of golf furnished a new challenge in itself.
Practically no two holes are played alike. Few shots are played under identical conditions.
By applying the information I’ve tried to give-together with sound fundamentals as taught by your own pro, and sufficient practice-l sincerely believe your golf game will show progressive improvement.”
