The Girls from the Local

Ruby Garett lives and works at the Point of No Return pub. It helps to take her mind off her fiance, Joe, fighting in France.

One thing Ruby doesn’t like about the Point is Sylvie. This singing siren is out for all she can get, including Joe.

Then there’s Ruby’s friend Marge. She loves going out to dances and flirting with all and sundry, but struggles as a mother to two young children.

The three of them face many hardships, but the bonds of friendship and camaraderie that hold the Point together will keep them going through the darkest of times.
