Manic

From age 16 Terri struggled with manic depression and there seemed to be no treatment, no help. A vicious eating disorder that drove Terri to consume everything in the house – including baking soda – was the start of a journey that led a frightened young woman on the cusp of a brilliant career to multiple suicide attempts, nights in jail, broken jobs and ruined friendships. Manic is both harrowing yet hopeful, and does not simply explain manic depression – it takes us in its grasp and does not let go.
