Amelia dreams of good luck – but she wont find it in Tomb Twenty-A
The year is 1903: the place is Cairo. And preparing to tackle an archacological dig in the Valley ofthe Kings, the intrepid Amelia Peabody dreams of a large cat, an Egyptian sign of good luck. An ominous message warning her to stay away from Tomb Twenty-A only intrigues Amelia, but difficulties soon mount up when her teenage son Ramses and her ward Neffet become embroiled with an American beauty who chinks she’s being stalked by a sinister stranger.
Tomb Twenty-A is eventually opened, and yields a mummy clad in silk underwear.
Suddenly Amelia finds herself in a labyrinthine plot of macabre murder, passion and deceit. She really needs that cat’s good luck, plus a big helping of feline cunning and its nine lives! Or the next dig could be her own grave
