Daily Prayer and Praise has sustained many people in many lands in their morning and evening prayers. This revised edition is double the length of the first one so as to give more space to each day.

Its daily subjects focus attention on the central features of the Christian faith, and from these the reader is led to worship and thanksgiving, penitence and prayers for others. As usual Bishop Appleton draws his prayers from a wide variety of sources, using scripture and the Book of Common Prayer, Francis of Assisi, Thomas à Kempis and many other saints, including more contemporary writers; and in many cases the material is his own.
